Jiří Němec (1932‒2001) patřil od konce padesátých do první poloviny osmdesátých let k nejvýraznějším postavám českého kulturního a intelektuálního života, byl mj. mezi iniciátory Charty 77 a VONSu. Je také autorem desítek studií a článků z oblasti filozofie, literatury a psychologie a překladatelem a redaktorem mnoha dalších textů. Bibliografie obsahuje přes 800 záznamů (včetně sekundární literatury) a podrobné soupisy a rejstříky.

From the late 1950s to the first half of the 1980s, Jiří Němec (1932-2001) was one of the most prominent figures in Czech cultural and intellectual life (he was amongs the initiators of both Charter 77 and VONS). He is also the author of dozens of studies and articles on philosophy, literature and psychology, and the translator and editor of many other texts. The bibliography contains over 800 entries (incl. secondary literature) and detailed registers and indexes.
