The study will provide insights into changes in atmospheric properties within and above the PBL and help reduce current uncertainties in the influence of AA on the Earth's climate system. In addition, it will provide insights into the representativeness of conventional ground-based measurements of AA properties, which may lead to their re-evaluation concerning vertical and satellite measurements.
