8. národní konference o genderu a vědě se zaměřila na téma bezpečného a důstojného pracovního a studijního prostředí se zaměřením na genderově podmíněné násilí. Konference se konala pod záštitou Ministerstva školství, mládeže a tělovýchovy, České konference rektorů a Akademie věd České republiky.
Cílem konference bylo posunout diskusi všech zainteresovaných aktérů směrem ke konkrétním krokům a opatřením, které povedou ke zlepšení situace v českém akademickém prostředí. Mezi tyto aktéry patří MŠMT, vedení výzkumných a vysokoškolských institucí, nově ustavená Školská ombuds platforma, studentské spolky a další instituce i organizace.

The 8th National Conference on Gender and Science focused on safety and didnity in work and study environments with a focus on gender-based violence. The conference was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the Czech Rector’s Conference and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. The aim of the conference was to move the discussion of all stakeholders towards concrete steps and measures that will lead to an improvement of the situation in the Czech academic environment. These stakeholders include the Ministry of Education, the management of research and higher education institutions, the newly established School Ombudsman Platform, student associations and other institutions and organisations.
