The Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, p.r.i. (ÚFA for short) is a public research institution, part of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. The research activity of the Institute covers the entire atmosphere of the Earth, from the ground layer to the interplanetary space, and also includes research on the atmosphere of other planets. This year the ÚFA celebrates its sixtieth anniversary. We inquired the director of the Institute, Dr. Radan Huth.
