Liquid-gas ejectors (LGE) are jet pumps, which utilize the high-pressure stream of the moving liquid to entrain and eventually compress the gas. The motive liquid and the entrained gas form a fine dispersion of an enormous specific interfacial area promoting greatly the interfacial mass transfer. On the other hand, the problem of the two-phase flow in the LGEs is quite complex, involving the phenomena of cavitation, jet breakup, mixing shock and stratification. These all complicate the device hydrodynamics understanding and description, resulting in the lack of reliable design and modelling tools.
