Studie analyzuje možnosti společenského vzestupu rakouských podnikatelů v období po roce 1848. Společenské postavení v té době neurčovalo jen bohatství, ale i vnější symboly, zejména řády a šlechtické tituly. Studie analyzuje způsoby, jakými podnikatelé mohli tyto pocty získat.

The study analyses the possibilities of the social rise of Austrian entrepreneurs in the period after 1848. Social status at that time was not only determined by wealth, but also by external symbols, especially orders and nobility titles. The study analyses the ways in which entrepreneurs could obtain these honours.
