This case study delves into the analysis of a unique fragment of an Old Czech manuscript from the National Library in Prague, which contains a translation of the biblical Book of Tobit. The fragment, catalogued under the shelfmark 1 A c 2/14, dates back to the 15th century and differs from other known versions of the Old Czech Tobit. The study compares this fragment with Polish sources and reveals significant similarities in choosing the verb 'vypitvati' over the Latin 'eviscerare' with biblical dictionaries, so-called mamotrekts.
