Kapitola předkládá etymologicko-onomaziologickou analýzu vybraných interjekcí podivu v nářečích českého jazyka. Je zaměřen na tzv. sakrální interjekce, které odráží pojmenování tří biblických postav: Boha, Ježíše a jeho matky Marie (např. božínku, ježíškote, šmarjá). Pozornost je věnována rovněž hláskové a tvarové variabilitě těchto interjekcí způsobené jejich tabuovou povahou.

The chapter analyzes selected interjections expressing astonishment in Czech dialects. It describes interjections reflecting the names of three central biblical figures : God, Jesus and Mary, mother of Jesus (e.g. Czech božínku, ježíškote, šmarjá. English God´s sake, oh Jesus, Holy Mary). Attention is also paid to phonological and morphological variability of these interjections caused by their taboo status.
