The magnetic core is one of the most important parts of a fluxgate sensor. This article presents a study of fluxgate sensors with a core based on nanocrystalline Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 wire and compares their performance to that of sensors based on amorphous wire with a chemical composition of (Co94Fe6)(75)Si15B10.
