Článek pojednává o životě a díle pozapomenutého jazykovědce českého původu Věroboje Vildomce. Po emigraci v roce 1948 se tento autor stal na krátkou dobu jedním z čelných představitelů výzkumu mnohojazyčnosti. Vildomcova monografie z roku 1963 představuje průkopnickou práci, která dodnes inspiruje. Článek toto dílo podrobně představuje a kriticky jej hodnotí.
The paper deals with the life and work of the forgotten linguist of Czech origin, Věroboj Vildomec. After his emigration in 1948, this author became for a short time one of the leading figures in multilingualism research. Vildomec’s 1963 monograph is a pioneering work that continues to inspire until today. The article presents this work in detail and critically evaluates it.
