The article focuses on the correspondence between art historians Aby Warburg, Vincenc Kramář, Karel Chytil and bibliographer Čeněk Zíbrt. The correspondence was initiated by Aby Warburg when he was searching in Bohemia for paintings related to Emperor Rudolf II's interest in astrology and for illustrated editions of Jan Amos Comenius' works. Warburg's probable interest was linked to his Atlas Mnemosyne project.
