Common optical fibers are sensitive to mechanical vibrations. When left exposed in important infrastructures, they can potentially compromise security. By utilizing measurement techniques rooted in various physical principles, these fibers can be transformed into functioning microphones, enabling unauthorized eavesdropping activities. In our research, we concentrate on assessing and comparing the sensitivity of different measurement methods, specifically the Φ-OTDR, state of polarization changes detector, and Michelson interferometer, within the controlled conditions of an anechoic chamber.
