Význam hornictví je v dějinách českých zemí nezpochybnitelný. Je složité v krátkosti vystihnout všechny milníky související s českým hornictvím, protože jakákoliv těžební oblast by vydala na stovky stran. Avšak každý z nás známe Jáchymov, Kutnou Horu, Příbram, což ve své době byla města evropského významu.

The importance of mining in the history of the Czech lands is indisputable. It is difficult to describe briefly all the milestones related to Czech mining, because any mining area would take hundreds of pages. However, each of us knows Jáchymov, Kutná Hora, Příbram, which in their time were cities of European importance.
