Příspěvek představil dílčí aspekty vizuální bratrské kultury, a to v rovině knižní výzdoby bratrských kancionálů. Kromě prezentace dílčích výsledků preikonografické analýzy tří edic bratrských zpěvníků se věnoval účelu vizuálně atraktivních iniciál s biblickými a náboženskými motivy, včetně jejich vztahu k textu písní.

The paper presented specific aspects of Brethren visual culture in relation to the book decoration of Brethren hymnals. In addition to presenting preliminary results of the iconographic analysis of three editions of Brethren hymnals, it discussed the purpose of visually attractive initials with biblical and religious motifs, including their relationship to the text of the hymns.
