All the ways for production of 225Ac in relevant amounts require its separation, concentration and conversion to chloride. Development of a suitable separation tool that may undertake efciently these tasks is naturally highly desirable. We have, therefore, determined mass distribution coefcient DW and elution profles for 225Ac of recently designed resins TK221 and TK222 in nitric and hydrochloric acids. Although these resins havebeen characterized with respect to the uptake of many stable elements, very little is known about actinium behaviour on them.
