Kolektivní monografie se věnuje projektu, obsahu a ohlasu publikace Rovnocennost evropských plemen a cesty k jejich ušlechťování (1934), jež bývá vnímána jako první evropský veřejný protest proti rasové ideologii ve vědecké práci, zejména proti nacistické rasové hygieně. Mezioborový autorský tým si kladl za cíl pozapomenutou demonstrativní akci usilující o mezinárodní ohlas nejen připomenout, ale především zmapovat její kořeny, zhodnotit ohlas a zasadit ústřední teze, argumentační strategie a názory hlavních aktérů do kontextu dobového antropologického a eugenického myšlení.

The collective monograph is dedicated to the project, content and response of the publication Equality of European Races and the Way to their Refinement (1934), which is perceived as the first European public protest against racial ideology in scientific work, especially against Nazi race hygiene. The interdisciplinary team of authors tried not only to recall the forgotten demonstrative action seeking international recognition, but above all to map its roots, evaluate the recognition and place the central theses, argumentative strategies and opinions of the main actors in the context of contemporary anthropological and eugenic thinking.
