This study presents a comprehensive analysis of Silurian specimens of the genus Pachytheca Hooker from the Czech Republic, which include previously unpublished material from the collection of J. Obrhel. Using a variety of observational methods and examination of residues from macerated specimens, we suggest a new reconstruction of Pachytheca illustrating its internal structure. In addition, the study examines the potential relationship between Pachytheca and Prototaxites Dawson, emphasizing their frequent co-occurrence.
