Mapa archeologických areálů Pražského hradu vznikla s cílem vytvořit nástroj pro efektivní aplikaci výzkumu v památkové péči. Prostřednictvím webového rozhraní a GIS nástrojů informuje o stavu prostředí, materiálů a reliktů historických staveb dochovaných “in situ” v archeologických areálech a o jejich změnách v čase. Na základě zaměření současného stavu jsou v areálech identifikovány historické zděné a dřevěné stavby a moderní ochranné konstrukce. Mapové aplikace dále podávají přehled o prováděných diagnostických a monitorovacích měřeních, o lokalizovaných rizicích, ohrožených a poškozených místech nebo provedených konzervátorsko-restaurátorských zásazích. Mapa slouží také jako sdílená platforma pro publikaci výsledků výzkumu v oblasti památkové péče. Jedná se o výsledky diagnostických měření prováděných v areálech v rámci realizovaných výzkumných projektů a o výsledky dlouhodobých monitorovacích měření pro kontrolu udržitelného režimu v areálech. Výzkum se dotýká prostředí (mikroklimatu), chování materiálů nebo stability staveb. Výsledky jsou prezentovány s využitím nástrojů GIS aplikace s jednoduchými statistickými analýzami, grafy a tabulkami nebo jsou doloženy připojenými dokumenty a výzkumnými zprávami. Mapa doplňuje směrnici pro památkovou péči a provoz v areálech, jejímž příjemcem je Odbor památkové péče Kanceláře prezidenta republiky.

The map of the archaeological areas of Prague Castle was composed with the aim of creating a tool for the effective application of research in heritage conservation. Through the web interface and GIS tools, the map informs about the state of environment, materials and relics of historical buildings preserved “in situ” in archaeological areas and their changes over time. Historical masonry and wooden structures but also modern protective structures are identified on the base of measurement of the current state. Map applications report about the communication schemes and no-entry zones, about the risks, damaged places, and about the monument conservation and restoration interventions carried out. The map as a shared platform is also intended for the publication of research results in the field of heritage preservation. These are the results of diagnostic measurements carried out in the areas as a part of ongoing research projects and the results of long-term monitoring measurements to check the sustainability of the areas. The research focuses on the environment (the microclima), the behavior of materials or the stability of buildings. GIS application tools with simple statistical analysis, graphs or tables and links to documentation and reports are used to present the measurement results. The map complements the emerging directive for monument care and operation in archaeological areas for the Department of Monument Preservation of the Office of the President of the Republic.
