    We present a series of coordination polymers composed of these ligands, 4,4'-bipyridine and various metal cations (e.g. Co2+, Fe2+, Ni2+). The structure of the resulting coordination polymers exhibits the presence of incorporated solvent molecules, which opens door for their future application as proton conductors.
