After briefly recalling the characteristic features of postphenomenology, this talk focuses on its (missing) concept of technology, its theory of technological mediation, and its method. I intend to assess the soundness of these elements and expose their limits. Based on this critical analysis, I will sketch an alternative phenomenology of technology. My analyses effort to avoid misinterpreting postphenomenology, yet they inevitably are schematic: they construe something like an invariant which cannot do justice to real living postphenomenologists and their analyses. The aim of these schematic is to identify the limits we must overcome to do justice to technological mediation of experience.
