The workshop introduced CHIPROT (Chinese Prosodic Transcription) - the system developed by H.T. It is based on Hanyu Pinyin, annotating two major prosodic features of colloquial Chinese (Mandarin): stress and phrasing. CHIPROT was designed for TCSL purposes, being transparent and user-friendly. The workshop included numerous examples and training utterances.
