On the basis of European examples, this article attempts to systematize possible traces of warfare aspects in Bronze Age hillforts. These can be divided into three main categories: occurrence of specialized bronze weapons, evidence of the expectation of a conflict, and direct evidence of warfare activities. Then, we focus in more detail on finds from hillforts located on the territory of today’s Bohemia, especially from the sites Velim-Skalka, Křemže-Dívčí Kámen, and Hradiště u Písku-Hradišťský vrch, which bear significant evidence of prehistoric warfare.
