In this contribution, a method for rapid, direct and simultaneous determination of thymine, uracil and 5-fluorouracil in human plasma samples was presented. Sample treatment was carried out by in-vial extractions using a tailor-made set-up, based on the use of polypropylene hollow fibres as support for the liquid membrane and designed for coupling the microextraction device directly to a commercial capillary electrophoresis system.
