In general, a great majority of artificial enzymes provides a low substrate selectivity and negligible catalytic activity in aqueous media compared to enzymes isolated from living organisms [1]. Thus, they cannot be used as biorecognition agents in the configuration of long-life biosensors potentially applicable in clinical analysis. This problem can be solved by the synthesis of new metallo-complexes and characterization of their catalytic activity. The existence of several biomimetic sensors utilizing the artificial enzymes suggests one that this new generation of portable analytical devices will play an important role in analysis [2].
