Analytická derivatizace a plynová chromatografie s hmotnostní spektrometrií se osvědčily jako
vhodné nástroje pro identifikaci oxidačních produktů a řešení reakčního mechanismu
elektrochemické oxidace fentanylů a dalších opioidů. Provedené experimenty potvrdily
přítomnost fenylacetaldehydu a N-fenylpropanamidu v roztoku po elektrochemické oxidaci
fentanylu. V případě sufentanilu byl jako odpovídající aldehydický produkt prokázán thiofen-
2-ylacetaldehyd a v případě furanylfentanylu byl jako amidický produkt prokázán zcela
analogicky 2-furanilid.
Analytical derivatization and GC-MS analysis were employed for the identification of main
products from the electrochemical oxidation of fentanyl derivatives. Chemical derivatization
provides proof of the chemical reactivity of functional groups in oxidation products and serves
for the chemical conversion of target compounds into the second series of derivatives to confirm
the identification of particular products. Using the direct GC-MS analysis of oxidation products,
derivatization of aldehydes with cysteamine and derivatization of amides by acidic hydrolysis
and subsequent reaction with ethylchloroformiate, phenylacetaldehyde, and Nphenylpropanamide
were unambigously identified as oxidation products from fentanyl,
thiophen-2-ylacetaldehyde, and N-phenylpropanamide from sufentanil, and
phenylacetaldehyde and 2-furanilid from furanylfentanyl.
