Publikace ukazuje vývoj kamenického řemesla a jím používaných nástrojů na kamenných površích objektů historického jádra Prahy, které dokumentují tisíciletou historii stavebního vývoje. Pomocí tzv. trasologických metod rekonstruuje podobu použitých nástrojů i způsob práce s nimi.

The publication shows the development of the stonemason's craft and the tools used on the stone surfaces of objects in the historic core of Prague documenting the thousand-year history of building development. The book brings reconstructions of the shape of the tools used and the way of working with them by means of so-called traceology methods.
