V monografii jsou analyzována česká adjektiva, která vznikla odvozováním nebo skládáním. Hlavním cílem monografie je postihnout slovotvorné jevy a tendence ve tvoření desubstantivních a deadjektivních adjektiv. Materiálově se vychází z excerpt ze Slovníku česko-německého Josefa Jungmanna (1835–1839) a slovníku Václava Michaela Wiedemanna Deutsch-böhmisches Wörterbuch, zum Gebrauch des kaiser. königl. Cadeten-Corps zu Neustadt (1768). Výsledky slovotvorné analýzy téměř 14 000 adjektiv byly porovnány také s nářečním materiálem a se specifiky adjektivní slovotvorby české, moravské a slezské anoikonymie. Autorka se zabývá též komparativními tvary nářečních adjektiv. Mnohé důležité výsledky jsou prezentovány na mapách.

The monograph focuses on the analysis of Czech adjectives which are the result of derivation and composition. The main goal of the monograph is to cover word-formation phenomena and describe tendences in word-formation of adjectives formed from nouns and adjectives. Rich linguistic material is taken from Josef Jungmann´s dictionary Slovník česko-německý (1835–1839) and Wenzel Michael Wiedemann´s dictionary Deutsch-böhmisches Wörterbuch, zum Gebrauch des kaiser. königl. Cadeten-Corps zu Neustadt (1768). The results of the word-formation analysis of nearly 14 000 adjective units were also compared with dialect material and with the specifics of adjective word-formation in Czech, Moravian and Silesian anoikonymy. The work also deals with the comparative forms of dialect adjectives. Many important results are presented on maps.
