Q-EPD as a new EPD modification enables a fast (<4 min) complete deposition of all dispersed nanoparticles (a known amount of anatase, rutile, or their mixture) onto stainless-steel plates or other conductive supports. Suitable combinations of common organic solvents and electric field strength of hundreds of V/cm are sufficient to obtain layers of a known mass (area density up to 1 mg/cm2), which are uniform and mechanically resistant to water. Electric current often exhibits a significant peak corresponding to the beneficial expulsion of ionic impurities from the deposited layer. Thus, the deposited nanopowder may be purer than the original one.
