Troilites from enstatite-rich meteorites contain a small amount of chromium and titanium due to the reducing conditions of origin. Among enstatite-rich meteorites belong to enstatite chondrites and aubrites. During the research of several enstatite chondrites and aubrites, extensive variability in chromium contents within individual troilite grains of some meteorites was discovered using an electron probe microanalyzator. A mineralogical study of Cr-Ti-bearing troilites was performed using a transmission electron microscope to shed light on the reason for the inhomogeneity in chromium contents. The results of troilite from the enstatite chondrite Asuka 881314 have been presented and discussed. It turned out that the troilite contains nanometer-sized lamellas of daubréelite within a specific mutual orientation.
