The article describes the research on the influence of wind and wind-driven rain on the model of St. Vitus Cathedral in a climatic wind tunnel and discusses its results in terms of the environmental load of the Last Judgement Mosaic by external influences. This climatic loading affects the mosaic's protective tesserae coatings, which are the subject of the second part of the text, which focuses on observations of degradation due to accelerated ageing and methods of damage detection based on changes in surface reflectance.
