Herein, we report a synthesis and basic physico-chemical properties of a new series of amphiphilic dendrons. The series carries triphenylphosphonium groups on its branched part as it was found that phosphonium groups show lower cytotoxicity in comparison with, e.g., commonly used ammonium
groups.3 Moreover, phosphonium groups generally facilitate internalization of the nanoparticle 4 and can mediate a successful transfection of an RNA.
5 As a lipophilic part, the series carries twelve- and eighteen carbon alkyl chains
