Indonésie byla dlouho dávána za vzor země, kde převládala umírněná forma islámu a náboženská tolerance. V poslední době však začal dominovat konzervativní, rigidně islámský trend. Přednášející představí publikaci Graffiti, Converts and Vigilantes: Islam Outside the Mainstream in Maritime Southeast Asia, jejímž byl editorem a spoluautorem.

Indonesia has long been held up as a model country where a moderate form of Islam and religious tolerance prevailed. More recently, however, a conservative, rigidly Islamic trend has come to dominate. The speaker will present the publication Graffiti, Converts and Vigilantes: Islam Outside the Mainstream in Maritime Southeast Asia, which he edited and co-authored.
