Čína, Indie, Sýrie, Taiwan – nejen tyto země spadají pod škatulku Orient a zaměstnávají politiky, obchodníky i vědce. Výzkumu „exotického“ světa se už 100 let věnuje Orientální ústav AV ČR. Jak se výzkum změnil? Proč je potřeba zkoumat dále? A jak se „věda o Orientu“ projevuje v našich životech i ve světové politice?

China, India, Syria, and Taiwan - these and many other countries fall under the label of the Orient and engage the attention of politicians, people in business, and scientists alike. The Oriental Institute of the CAS has been researching the “exotic” world for 100 years. How has research changed? Why is there a need for further study? And how do the Oriental studies affect our lives and world politics?
