Kniha se zaměřuje na architektonické dění na Světové výstavě (Expo) v Ósace v roce 1970. Přináší novou interpretaci československého pavilonu, díla architektonického tria Rudiš, Palla a Jenček společně s týmem výtvarníků. Přibližuje nejprve proces poznávání japonské architektury a urbanismu očima zahraničních návštěvníků a ambivalentní status tehdejšího Japonska jako „země budoucnosti”. Architektura na výstavě a československý pavilon jsou poté konfrontovány z různých perspektiv: z pohledu architektonických forem, ideových koncepcí výstav i myšlenkových tendencí té doby.

The book focuses on the architecture at the World Exhibition (Expo) in Osaka 1970. It brings a new interpretation of the Czechoslovak pavilion, the work of the architectural trio Rudiš, Palla and Jenček, together with a team of artists. It shows how foreign visitors perceived Japanese architecture and urbanism and the ambivalent status of Japan at that time as a „country of the future”. The architecture at the exhibition and the Czechoslovak pavilion are confronted from different perspectives: from the point of view of architectural forms, ideological concepts of exhibitions and thought ideological tendencies of the time.
