Článek pojednává o první knize hudebního historika Otakara Kampera (1878–1942) vydané roku 1926, která je dodnes jedinou monografií pražského skladatele Františka Xavera Brixi. Shrnuje také Kamperovu biografii a přináší nová zjištění týkající se okolností jeho tragického skonu na popravišti za tzv. druhé heydrichiády.

The article discusses the first book by music historian Otakar Kamper (1878–1942) published in 1926, which is still the only monograph on the Prague composer František Xaver Brixi. It also summarises Kamper's biography and presents new findings concerning the circumstances of his tragic death on the execution ground during the so-called Second Heydrichiad.
