Kryštof Boháček rozmlouvá se svými hosty rozmlouvat o otázkách, nastolených nově vydanou knihou “Duch ateismu” od André Comte-Sponvilla: Co je to náboženství? Jak souvisí s kulturou, dějinami, morálkou, veřejným míněním a evropskými civilizačními hodnotami? Jakou roli v tom hraje víra, jak se vztahuje k věrnosti a jak tento niterný fenomén proměňuje v různých perspektivách? Je vztah k Bohu nutně vírou? Jak a proč mluvit o Bohu, jak o něm víme a k čemu jej potřebujeme? Co je to duchovní rozměr člověka, duchovní život či zkušenost transcendence? A jaký to celé dává smysl pro atheistu? Společně s Boháčkem se o tom zamýšlejí prof. Tomáš Halík (křesťanské prisma), rabín Daniel Mayer a znalec islámu dr. Petr Pelikán. Monotheistickou reflexi Comte-Sponvillova atheismu doplňuje kritická atheistická pozice dr. Tomáše Hříbka a některá úskalí českého překladu přibližuje též překladatelka knihy z francouzštiny dr. Hana Fořtová.

Kryštof Boháček and his guests discuss the questions raised by the newly published book “The Spirit of Atheism” by André Comte-Sponville: What is religion? How is it related to culture, history, morality, public opinion and European civilizational values? What role does faith play in this, how does it relate to faithfulness and how does this inner phenomenon transform in different perspectives? Is a relationship with God necessarily faith? How and why to talk about God, how do we know about him and what do we need him for? What is the spiritual dimension of a person, the spiritual life or the experience of transcendence? And what sense does it all make to an atheist? Together with Boháček discuss these questions prof. Tomáš Halík (Christian Prisms), Rabbi Daniel Mayer and Islamic expert dr. Petr Pelikan. The monotheistic reflection of Comte-Sponville’s atheism is complemented by a critical atheist position of dr. Tomáš Hříbek and some pitfalls of the Czech translation are also explained by the translator of the book from French, Dr. Hana Fořtová.
