Program workshopu byl zaměřený na praktické stránky studia historických krovů, hlavně na rozpoznávání znaků důležitých pro časové zařazení a typologickou klasifikaci konstrukcí vyšetřovaných v terénu, na jejich operativní dokumentaci a trasologické zkoumání. Na příkladu výzkumu krovů městských domů v Chebu byly představeny metodické problémy a význam cílených archivních sond a rešerší. Díky množství lokalit navštívených během exkurzí dostali účastníci možnost seznámit se s regionálními řemeslnými odlišnostmi tesařských konstrukcí i dalšími projevy tradičního stavitelství.

The programme of the workshop was focused on the practical aspects of the study of historical timber roof trusses, mainly on the recognition of features important for time and typological classification of structures, their on-site surveys and traceological examination. The methodological problems and the importance of targeted archival seeking and research were presented on the example of the research of the timber roofs of the town houses in Cheb. Thanks to the number of locations visited during excursions, participants were given the opportunity to learn about the regional craftsmanship differences and other manifestations of traditional building techniques.
