Ruská invaze je ´naší válkou´, ať přispíváme na zbraně pro Ukrajinu nebo si jen stěžujeme na drahé rohlíky. Prezentace se zaměří na několik rovin – od reakcí veřejnosti, psychologů našich i zahraničních, až po sondy do postojů národního vzorku, který jsme provedli s kolegy J. Šerekem a D. Lackem. Zjistili jsme zajímavé emoční odezvy (mj. vyvracející poplašné novinové titulky), podivuhodné tendence k pomáhajícímu chování i posuny v kulturní identitě Čechů. Zdá se, že Putinova válka nás posunula blíže k demokratičnosti a Evropě. Zamyslíme se nad tím, do jaké míry V. Putin dociluje bumerangového efektu, zda můžeme pozorovat projevy mezinárodního demokratického ducha (fenomén pax demokratica) a jak pomoci psychologii demokracie.

The Russian invasion is ´our war´, whether we contribute to purchasing weapons for Ukraine or complain about expensive rolls. The presentation captures several aspects: the reactions of the public, of the Czech and international psychologists, as well as deeper probes into the attitudes of a national longitudinal sample in collaboration with J. Šerek and D. Lacko. We captured interesting emotional responses (which btw disprove alarmist newspaper headlines), admirable tendencies toward helping behavior as well as shifts in the Czech cultural identity. It seems that Putin´s war moved us closer to the democratic spirit and Europe. We shall contemplate to what degree Putin´s war triggers a boomerang effect, to what degree we witness manifestations of the democratic spirit (perhaps a pax democratica effect), and a possible role for the Psychology of Democracy.
