Standard approach to electic control is use of an intermediate transducer, usually with a moving mechanical component. It is not a perfect solution because the inertia of these components limits the conversion speed. This review article surveys a number of less known approaches, making the mechanical parts much smaller and hence having lower inertia. In another discussed approach the electric input is used to heat a component and thus vary viscosity of the gas flowing past it. The present paper focuses on two new solutions to the electro/fluidic based on intermediate conversions into flow of plasma.
