Učebnice osvětluje, co se děje s čínskými slovy, když vstoupí do reality souvislé řeči. Představuje základní prozodické jevy mluvené hovorové čínštiny, jako jsou přízvuk a jeho souhra s tóny, oslabená výslovnost pomocných slov, frázování, větná intonace či vlivy informační struktury výpovědi. Látka je objasněna na zvukových nahrávkách přibližně 80 vět, které namluvila rodilá mluvčí paní Tchang Jün-ling Rusková. V učebnici jsou zapsány v prozodické transkripci CHIPROT, založené na latinkovém přepisu pinyin (autorka ji zde představuje poprvé). Celý text knihy s vnořenými nahrávkami vět je k dispozici na přiložené USB kartičce. Učebnice je odborně foneticky fundovaná, chce však uživatele zaujmout přístupnou a hravou formou. Text odlehčují pestré ilustrace ak. mal. Zhang Dan Gajdošové. Materiál je určen zejména studentům 2. semestru sinologických oborů, ale i dalším zájemcům o mluvenou čínštinu, kteří se chtějí přiblížit výslovnosti rodilých mluvčích.

The textbook explains what happens to Chinese words as they enter the reality of continuous speech. It discusses the basic prosodic phenomena of spoken Chinese (colloquial speech style), such as stress and non-stress, their interaction with four lexical tones, weakened pronunciation of auxiliary words, phrasing, utterance-level intonation, or impact of the information structure on the prosodic structure. The book comprises approximately 80 example sentences helping to clarify treated prosodic phemomena. These sentences were recorded by a native Beijing speaker, Mrs. Tang Yunling Rusková. The complete text of the book in the pdf format with directly immersed sound files is available on the enclosed USB card. All recorded utterances were transcribed by means of the novel prosodic transcription of the author. It is called CHIPROT (Chinese Prosodic Transcription) and is based on the Hanyu Pinyin romanization. This transcription system is intuitive and easy to decipher. The textbook is based on contemporary phonetic research, yet it wants to address the reader in an accessible and playful way. The text is accompanied by numerous colorful illustrations by the Chinese painter Zhang Dan Gajdošová. This textbook is originally intended for students of the 2nd semester of Chinese who already know the basics of Chinese pronunciation, yet have not developed fossilized prosodic errors yet. At the same time, it can be useful for anybody with a deeper interest in spoken form of Chinese, for anybody who wants to get closer to the pronunciation of native speakers.
