Text zachycuje některé podoby každodenního dění v Pionýrské organizaci Československého svazu mládeže (PO ČSM) v 50. a 60. letech dvacátého století. Autorka při zpracování tématu vychází především z primárního výzkumu, ze dvou zdrojů narativní povahy – polostrukturovaného dotazníku a orálněhistorických interview. S jejich pomocí nejdříve reflektuje momenty „sváteční” či výjimečné, zejména okolnosti přijetí do této masové dětské organizace a také participaci dětí – pionýrů a pionýrek na nejrůznějších oslavách ve dnech významných pro budování lidově-demokratického Československa. V analýze a interpretaci pramenů se však studie soustředí především na ty nejběžnější aktivity, jichž se děti v rámci Pionýrské organizace ČSM účastnily, na nejrůznější podoby oddílových schůzek, oblíbené činnosti a propojení aktivit organizovaných v rámci PO ČSM s činnostmi zcela volnočasovými. Jedním ze zajímavých zjištění je pak pocit (reflektovaný samotnými pamětníky) prolínání a stírání hranice mezi těmito dvěma teoreticky velmi odlišnými prostředími.

The study describes some forms of everyday events in the Pioneer Organization of the Czechoslovak Youth Union [Pionýrská organizace Československého svazu mládeže] (PO ČSM) in the 1950s and 60s. The topic was elaborated mainly on the basis of primary research, using two sources of a narrative nature: semi-structured questionnaires and oral-historical interviews. On the basis of them, the “festive” or exceptional moments are reflected first, especially the circumstances of admission to this mass children’s organization and also the participation of children (pioneers) in various celebrations on days important for building people’s democratic Czechoslovakia. However, in the analysis and interpretation of the sources, the study focuses mainly on the most common activities in which children participated in the PO ČSM, i.e. on various forms of section meetings, on popular activities and linking activities organized within the PO ČSM with completely leisure activities. One of the interesting findings is the feeling (reflected by the witnesses themselves) of intertwining and blurring the boundary between these two seemingly very different environments.
