Již od roku 2018 běží společný projekt čtyř moravských organizací s názvem Archeologie z nebe. Analýza a prezentace fondů dálkového průzkumu na Moravě a ve Slezsku. Hlavním řešitelem projektu je Ústav archeologické památkové péče Brno, v. v. i. (ÚAPP Brno), dalšími partnery jsou Národní památkový ústav (NPÚ), Archeologický ústav AV ČR, Brno, v. v. i. (ARÚB) a Archeologický ústav AV ČR, Praha, v. v. i. (ARÚ). Představovaný projekt si položil několik dílčích cílů: 1) zachovat fond leteckých snímků pro budoucnost v digitální podobě, 2) standardizovat metody sběru a zpracování dat dálkového průzkumu, 3) odborně popsat a revidovat obsah leteckých snímků, 4) revidovat vybrané lokality v terénu a v neposlední řadě 5) zpřístupnit tento fond odborné i laic

A joint project of four organisations named Archaeology from the Sky: Analysis and presentation of Moravian and Silesian remote sensing archives has been under way since 2018. The principal investigator of the project is the Institute for Archaeological Heritage in Brno (ÚAPP Brno), the other partners being the National Heritage Institute (NPÚ), the Institute of Archaeology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Brno (ARÚB) and the Institute of Archaeology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague (ARÚ). The presented project has set itself several objectives: 1) to preserve the aerial photographs archive for the future in a digital form, 2) to standardise the methods of collection and processing of remote sensing data, 3) to professionally describe and revise the contents of aerial images, 4) to review selected sites in the field, and, last but not least, 5) to make the archive accessible to both the professional and lay public. The project will be concluded in 2022 by the Archaeology from the Sky exhibition.
