Účelem konference bylo seznámit účastníky z širší odborné a laické veřejnosti s výsledky aplikovaného výzkumu v rámci projektu Škola jako integrační partner zaměřeného na žáky s nedostatečnou znalostí češtiny jako vyučovacího jazyka na pražských základních školách. V první části konference byla podrobně prezentována klíčová zjištění projektu a proběhla o nich diskuse. Jednalo se především o poznatky z opakovaného monitorovacího šetření na základních školách v Praze, ale také poznatky z hloubkových rozhovorů realizovaných jak se zástupci škol, tak i s rodiči samotných žáků s nedostatečnou znalostí češtiny jako vyučovacího jazyka. Zde se účastníci dozvěděli, jaký je v Praze odhadovaný počet žáků s odlišným mateřským jazykem (OMJ) a jaké jsou jazykové kompetence těchto žáků. Dalšími tématy byly personální kapacita škol a jejich finanční zdroje související s podporou žáků, využívané informační zdroje a spolupracující aktéři, zkušenosti s prováděním jazykové diagnostiky na školách a také dopad distanční výuky na podporu žáků s OMJ a jejich celkové začlenění do vyučovacího procesu. V závěru konference proběhla moderovaná diskuze se zástupci vybraných aktérů, kteří hrají důležitou roli v procesu začleňování žáků s OMJ, a to jak v rovině tvorby koncepcí a politik, tak i v rovině praktického poskytování asistence a podpory. Hlavním tématem této moderované diskuse byla problematika sběru dat o žácích s OMJ a využití těchto dat ve veřejné správě.

The aim of the conference was to present the results of the applied research conducted within the project School as an Integration Partner focused on pupils with insufficient knowledge of Czech as the language of instruction in Prague primary schools. In the first part of the conference, the key findings of the project were presented and discussed. These were mainly the findings from the repeated monitoring survey at primary schools in Prague, but also the findings from in-depth interviews conducted with both, school representatives and parents of pupils with insufficient knowledge of Czech as the language of instruction. The participants of the conference learned about the estimated number of pupils with insufficient knowledge of Czech as the language of instruction in Prague and their level of language competences. Other topics included the staff capacity of schools and their financial resources related to supporting pupils, the information resources used and the actors involved, the experience of conducting language diagnostics in schools, and the impact of distance learning on supporting migrant background pupils and their overall inclusion in the education process. The conference concluded with a moderated discussion with representatives of selected stakeholders who play an important role in the process of inclusion of pupils with insufficient knowledge of Czech as the language of instruction, both in terms of policy and concept development and in terms of practical provision of assistance and support. The main topic of this moderated discussion was the methods and the tools for collecting relevant data on pupils with insufficient knowledge of Czech as the language of instruction and the use of this data in public administration.
