VII. Sjezd historiků a historiček umění uspořádala Uměleckohistorická společnost ve spolupráci s Fakultou umění a designu Univerzity J. E. Purkyně v Ústí nad Labem. Pod zastřešujícím tématem Infrastruktur (dějin) umění zazněly příspěvky věnované muzeím umění a sběratelství, reprodukcím a odlitkům, infastrukturám výstav a mezinárodním kontaktům, vzdělávání a školství, a památkové obnově a restaurování. Slavnostní přednášku pronesl Karel Thein na téma Alois Riegl a Walter Benjamin o vzdáleném a blízkém: jiný pohled na reprodukci uměleckého díla.

The VIIth Congress of Czech Art Historians, organized by the Czech Association of Art Historians in cooperation with the Faculty of Art and Design of the J. E. Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem, took place under the overarching theme of Infrastructures of (the History of) Art. The topic was covered through papers dealing with different questions related to art museums and collecting, art reproductions and casts, exhibition infrastructures and international contacts, education and schooling, and monument restoration and renovation. Karel Thein gave the keynote lecture on Alois Riegl and Walter Benjamin.
