    The article explains a preference of the Ferdinand II of Austria in three-dimensional arts, as reliefs and fountains. It is devoted to the main decorative projects of the archduke in Prague and in Innsbruck and examines the communication between artists of different specializations and also nations working together on specific tasks. The essay also demonstrates, how drawings as a medium functioned in the communication between the Archduke and his artists.
