Studie se zabývá vzpomínáním na období komunistické diktatury v detektivních prózách Jaroslava Velinského. Ty lze číst v kontextu ostalgie jako projev jisté kontrapěměti, která se vymezuje vůči paměti oficiální a zpochybňuje její centrální roli pro formování kolektivní kulturní paměti. Tuto tendenci do jisté lze zobecnit na celou oblast populární kultury, která oproti komemoraci diskontinuity akcentuje různé druhy kontinuity.

The paper deals with remembering the communist dictatorship in the Czech crime fiction novels. These can be read in the context of nostalgia as a manifestation of a certain counter-memory that is positioned against the official memory and questions its central role in shaping the collective cultural memory. This tendency can be to generalized some extent to the whole area of popular culture, which emphasizes different kinds of continuity as opposed to the historical breaks snd discontinuity.
