The Conceptual Design Review (CDR) of the microwave interferometer diagnostic for the COMPASS Upgrade tokamak was held in IPP Prague on February 25, 2021. The CDR panel consisted of leading foreign experts in related fields, chaired by Dr. Geoffrey Cunningham from Culham Center for Fusion Energy (United Kingdom). The aim of the meeting was to review the conceptual design of one of key diagnostic systems of the tokamak – the microwave interferometer diagnostic, which will be used for the density feedback control of tokamak discharges in real time as well as for the physics research of plasmas of the COMPASS Upgrade tokamak.
