Soubor dvanácti rozhovorů se zástupci českého bádání o hispánském světě. Kniha umožňuje nahlédnout z rozmanitých úhlů krátkou, ale velmi zásadní a nesmírně zajímavou etapu komplikované historie českého setkávání se světem iberského prostoru – tedy Španělskem, Portugalskem a zeměmi Latinské Ameriky. Zastoupena je lingvistika a literární věda, kunsthistorie, politologie, etnologie a s nimi provázaná centra studia v Praze, Brně a Olomouci. Rozhovory se dotýkají i specifických rodinných zázemí a životních zkušeností dotazovaných, včetně samotné cesty ke španělskému světu. Kniha je opatřena biografickým a institucionálním heslářem.

A set of twelve interviews with representatives of Czech research on the Hispanic world. The book provides an insight into various short, but very important and extremely interesting stages of the complicated history of the Czech encounter with the world of the Iberian area – i.e Spain, Portugal and Latin America. Linguistics and literary science, art history, political science, ethnology and related study centers in Prague, Brno and Olomouc are represented. The interviews also touch on the specific family backgrounds and life experiences of the respondents, including the journey to the Spanish world itself. The book has a biographical and institutional glossary.
