Znáte příběh Narcise? Proč je důležité si o něm vyprávět zrovna v dnešní době? Zkusíme společně najít odpovědi ve vybraných uměleckých dílech. Pouť časem odstartujeme z místa, kdy se narodil Ovidius, přes sepsání Proměn, jejich rozšíření v rukopisech a tištěných knihách. Zaměříme se na iluminace, ilustrace a výtvarné umění s motivy Narcisova příběhu, odhlalíme symbolický jazyk příběhu. Nalezneme v Narcisově tragickém osudu naději na dobrý konec?

Do you know the story of Narcissus? Why is it important to talk about him these days? We will try to find answers in selected works of art together. In time, we will start the pilgrimage from the place where Ovid was born, through the writing of the Metamorphoses, their spread in manuscripts and printed books. We will focus on illuminations, illustrations and fine arts with motifs of Narcissus' story, we will reveal the symbolic language of the story. Will we find hope for a good end in Narcissus's tragic fate?
