Článek nabízí přehled všech výraznějších edičních projektů, které během staletého trvání Historického ústavu (jehož název i organizační zařazení se v průběhu dějin několikrát změnily) na tomto pracovišti vznikly. Důraz je kladen především na velké ediční řady, jako jsou Regesta diplomatica nec non epistolaria Bohemiae et Moraviae, Regesta Bohemiae et Moraviae aetatis Venceslai IV. (1378 dec. – 1419 aug. 16.), Monumenta Vaticana res gestas Bohemicas illustrantia (resp. Acta summorum pontificorum res gestas Bohemicas aevi praehussitici et hussitici illustrantia), Epistulae et acta nuntiorum apostolicorum apud imperatorem, Documenta res gestas Bohemicas saeculorum XVI.–XVIII. illustrantia. Tyto a jiné ediční podniky jsou v textu sledovány prizmatem doby, ve které vznikaly.

The article offers a review of all main critical editions created during the last hundert yers by editors in the Institute of History (name of this department and its place in organizational structure of the public research changed several times). There is accent on the main editorial series in the text, such as Regesta diplomatica nec non epistolaria Bohemiae et Moraviae, Regesta Bohemiae et Moraviae aetatis Venceslai IV. (1378 dec. – 1419 aug. 16.), Monumenta Vaticana res gestas Bohemicas illustrantia (resp. Acta summorum pontificorum res gestas Bohemicas aevi praehussitici et hussitici illustrantia), Epistulae et acta nuntiorum apostolicorum apud imperatorem, Documenta res gestas Bohemicas saeculorum XVI.–XVIII. illustrantia. These and other editions are also explored from the point of view of the time in which they were created.
